Queer Podcast Community

Greetings all,

Despite the odd forum title, I have a relatively simple question. When listening to "Eat This Hot Show", I find that the quality of the multi-person, disparate locational recording is great (every person on the show is in a different location, but the recording quality is superb)! Does anyone know how they have been achieveing this? Are Madge, Ragan, Wanda, Fausto and Mark using Skype or are they using something else like iChat?

I live in Chicago and my friend lives in Los Angeles and we want to get a podcast started, so we're looking into fairly good, but stable, ways to accomplish this.

I thank everyone for their input!

The MoPod Show

We are all in different cities every week for our show. We use a combination of Audio Hijack Pro and Skype to pull it off. There is a good studio set up tutorial by Hugo Schlotman that helped us get things moving along. You can find it at:

Its the ol' NPR technique

Record Locally, Act Globally. Thats about it. nothing too fancy there.

What about the Cousins Queer Show?

They're in separate cities and do a show together.

I believe that they are

each recording their audio seperately and then whoever is hosting the show that week puts it all together into the final show. So, for example, Wanda might record on her iriver and then upload her sound file... which is then put into the final show ;)
