AIDS is NOT over. AIDS is spreading alarmingly worldwide. India now has the most citizens in the world with AIDS (surpassing Africa). HIV infection amongst heterosexual women, men, and youth is growing. First nations communities, even in the remote arctic, are in crisis with this syndrome. IDVU populations have to deal with co-infections of HIV and HepC on top of harrowing poverty and homelessness. HIV infection among gays remains steady now though it was going down a few years ago; new infections hitting our youngest generations hardest. As family structures change, middle age and senior citizens are being left out of the safer sex messages geared to youth and young adults; and are getting infected.
