Podcast Description

We are the UK's first and only radio station run by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Young People. We produce a variety of completely originally produced shows and programmes, soaps and dramas, news, views and opinions, phone-ins, live broadcast events, pride festivals, local scene listings, gay youth groups, guide as well as a range of music including independent and unsigned artists as well as commercial tunes from dance and pop to indie and rock. We also play most of our new shows and podcasts on our live shoutcast/windows media radio stream and at gay pride festivals on FM Stereo.

Our flagship show is called "The Group" - a weekly radio drama set in a gay youth project in Northern England.

We also run OUTofWORK - a show looking at employment and job oppurtunities for the LGBT Community and listings of LGBT Jobs also on http://www.lgbtjobs.co.uk

Bio

Queer Youth Radio is run by a small group of volunteers. We are part of the Queer Youth Network, a national non-profit organisation run by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered People. http://www.queeryouth.org.uk and http://www.lgbtjobs.co.uk
